When we met
in September your advice was most welcome and helped to put
into perspective a situation that existed with a lady member
of staff who had been off sick for 12 months with long term
and ongoing health problems. We had difficulty in establishing
when or indeed if, she would be returning to work. When she
had 60th birthday in April 2009 she had already been off work
for seven months.
At our meeting a 3 stage plan was drawn up to address all
the possible issues and potential problems revolving around
employing this lady. We had anticipated that the situation
would have been resolved by her retirement when she reached
her 60th birthday but the expected retirement didn't happen
and although her sick pay had finished holiday pay was accruing.
Your assistance was invaluable. We to used the plan to approach
the problem in a sympathetic way without compromising the
company and to the benefit of all concerned. the situation
