Meet the team

Helen Gilfillan

Managing Director

With over 30 years’ HR experience across a wide range of industries, Helen has significant experience to look after your HR needs.   Helen has worked in many industries at Director level, including manufacturing, print, retail and the public sector, and managed large re-structuring programmes and successfully implemented HR software and performance management processes.  Helen is also on the Board of Trustees for a local Citizens Advice Bureau.

Helen is fully CIPD qualified and holds a master’s degree in Strategic HR Management.  The full team provide employment law and human resources support to small and medium sized businesses in the area, bringing a wealth of expertise and knowledge to our clients.

Clare Dalziel

HR Director

Clare started her career as a HR administrator and worked her way up the ladder in the corporate world. Working for a small company, who floated on the stock exchange following massive growth during a short period of time. Experience of a company going into administration, acquisition of other companies, multiple re-organisations, and redundancies.

Clare is a Chartered member of the CIPD therefore has experience of working with small, medium, and large companies. She is described as approachable by both employees and business owners. Having worked as a HR Director in her profession she has an understanding of being an employee, a director, and a business owner. Clare has experience of everything from recruitment through to redundancy and everything in between.

Amanda Russell

Managing Director

Amanda is a Fellow of the CIPD, knowledgeable in employment law and experienced in providing ‘hands on’ HR support to small and medium sized businesses. With a sensible down to earth approach Amanda works closely with her clients to find practical and cost-effective solutions to all employment issues.

Amanda has supported diversely different businesses, including Procter & Gamble, ITV, Leyton Orient Football Club and Amstrad through start-up, TUPE transfer, turnaround, growth and closure. Amanda holds a degree in psychology and is a certified Myers Briggs Practitioner.
