‘Developing a People Strategy for Your Business’ Programme

Growing SME businesses may often have finance and marketing strategies and plans in place, but may not have thought about how a ‘joined up’ People Strategy can support their business, especially where people can be both their most important asset and biggest cost.

The objectives for the session are:

  •  To understand the benefit of strategic HR and how to develop a People Strategy to deliver business success – this programme is comprised of 3 half day morning modules:

Module 1 – Future World of Work and Business Strategy – Wednesday 25th September 2019

Looking at the medium to long term considerations for employers to consider including impact of AI, government interventions and policy and multi-generational expectations in
the workplace. Understanding how a People Strategy is part of a wider Business Strategy, focused on delivering purpose, vision and mission.

Module 2 – Developing a People Strategy – Wednesday 2nd October 2019

Importance of employee experience and engagement, values, competencies and how to develop a strategy considering e.g. recruitment, retention, recognition, reward, skill
acquisition, development, succession management, performance management, health and wellbeing, corporate social responsibility, metrics etc.

Module 3 – Action Planning – Tuesday 15th October 2019

Review and development of strategic people initiatives, aligned to deliver the Business Strategy. Development of a People Strategy, shared learnings from other delegates and an outcome focused action plan that can be put into place for your business. This Programme is ideal for Business Owners, stand-alone HR Professionals in SMEs or those who have a responsibility for HR
