None of us like to admit there are simmering’s of conflict where we work, but at some point, if we haven’t already, we will be faced with a conflict situation. Knowing what it is and how to deal with it is key to ensuring it doesn’t escalate. We will take you on a practical tour of Managing Conflict, covering the 3 Rs – Recognising, Responding and Resolving. We will not only explore conflict in the workplace, but give you practical tips on handling those difficult conversations and an insight into the role of mediation

Management Essentials Complete Training Programme

The Management Development Leadership Programme is a comprehensive course to fully equip business owners and line managers with all of the understanding, skills and tools needed to manage the minefield of people management.

The course workshops including everything from how to recruit staff, effective leadership to communication skills, managing low and high performance as well as the day to day issues of absence, conduct and dismissal.

After each workshop, the delegate will have the opportunity to have 1:1 coaching sessions by telephone between workshops if required.

The workshops included in the programme are:

Managing Absence

Ever wondered how much absence is costing your business each year? Have you struggled to manage an absent employee, whether long or short term?

Feeling unable to deal with absenteeism through fear of employment legislation is common but there are many ways to ensure that you have the knowledge and tools to help you as well as recognising when to seek professional help.

In this informative and interactive workshop, we will look at the tools we have available for both the management and prevention of sickness absence. These will range from clear absence reporting procedures, sickness documentation, return to work interviews and managing within the law.

Utilising practical skills and case examples, covering both short and long-term absence, you will leave the workshop with tips and actions you can put into practice as soon as you step back into the workplace.

This workshop is aimed at line managers or those who have supervisory or team leader responsibilities and day-to-day management of others, in addition to those new to managing others.
