Preventing HR Headaches- Free Seminar

The seminar will start promptly at 9.30 am and will finish around 12.30 pm.

In this interactive seminar, we will be sharing our tips and tricks for managing your HR hot topics.  We will also provide an Employment Law Update and our Health & Safety team will talk about Health & Safety Myths and Facts.

The topics will include:

  • GDPR update – what to do next and how to look after our humans and their data
  • How not to go crazy following a Data Subject Access Request – develop a framework to help you deal with DSAR with no fuss
  • To PILON or not to PILON – end of employment and pay in lieu of notice.  Garden leave, not working notice vs PILON and the effect of PILON on statutory rights

This session will be followed by a practical employment law update including a summary of the proposals for new legislation regarding workers rights as announced in The Good Work Plan.

Last but not least, Fintan O’Toole from the H&S Dept will provide a Myth vs Fact session to dispel some common Health & Safety misunderstandings.

First Aid Refresher

The HSE has recommend refresher training annually for accredited emergency first aiders in the workplace.

This half day refresher course will remind you of the key areas you learnt in your Emergency First Aid at Work training and also provide you with an opportunity to practice the practical elements to help you to react confidently should you need to administer first aid.  The refresher will include:

  • CPR
  • Unconscious Casualty
  • Choking
  • Optional catastrophic bleeding

Who is this suitable for?

Anyone who is currently an accredited workplace emergency first aider and would like a practical reminder to keep your skills up to date.  There is no test at the end of the training and your current certificate remains valid until its expiry date.
