Meet the team

Katie Aldridge

Director

Katie is the owner of the HR Dept Newbury and South Oxfordshire. She founded the business in October 2016, having previously worked as a senior HR professional in a career spanning over 20 years in a range of industries from not-for-profit, education, through to financial and pharmaceutical. Her background means that there are not many employment situations that she hasn’t encountered. Her positive mindset and her commercial, pragmatic approach help customers to explore all options to ensure that the outcome they decide on is the best one for their business.

Catherine Wilson

HR Advisor

With over 20 years’ experience in Human Resources (13 years as a Chartered Member of the CIPD) Catherine has held a variety of HR positions, both in blue chip organisations and SMEs. Most recently she has undertaken Employee Relations specialist roles with both Virgin Media and Kier. Catherine has a sound understanding of People Management best practice along with strong communication and coaching skills with the ability to support negotiations at all levels. Out of work Catherine enjoys keeping fit with circuit training, kettlebells and boxing, plus long walks in the countryside with her two Miniature Schnauzers. However, after all this exercise she likes nothing more than relaxing with her family and a decent glass of red wine.

Christine Knight

HR Administrator

Christine has worked in HR for over 40 years and is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD. Her career includes spells in large organisations in the retail, water industry, facilities management and environmental consulting sectors. This has provided her with wide ranging HR experience and business insight. Since semi-retiring, Christine also volunteers with the National Trust and her local infant school. Keen to maintain her HR knowledge, Christine has worked on a number of projects with Katie Aldridge over the past 2 years, including some time working as an interim advisor to a client and a performance management coaching project. Her current role sees her applying her background knowledge to the development of contracts and handbooks.
