Meet the team
Katie is the owner of the HR Dept Newbury and South Oxfordshire. She founded the business in October 2016, having previously worked as a senior HR professional in a career spanning over 20 years in a range of industries from not-for-profit, education, through to financial and pharmaceutical. Her background means that there are not many employment situations that she hasn’t encountered. Her positive mindset and her commercial, pragmatic approach help customers to explore all options to ensure that the outcome they decide on is the best one for their business.
With over 20 years’ experience in Human Resources (13 years as Chartered MCIPD) Catherine has held a variety of HR positions, both in blue chip organisations and SMEs. Most recently she has undertaken roles with both Virgin Media and Kier Services. Catherine’s specific area of expertise is in People Management best practice; supporting managers with all matters of Employee Relations, from disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence management to Employment Tribunal claims.
Lesley is used to working in fast paced industries, quite literally as she started her career in motorsport and Formula One! Moving on from fast cars she turned to HR, realising the value it has in helping businesses move forward and structure for growth and productivity, she knew this was the function she wanted to be involved in.
CIPD level 3 qualified she is delighted to be part of the HR Dept so she can add more to her knowledge, skills and experience.
She has excellent administrative skills with an adaptable outlook. She is here to help with your HR administration needs and plans to be the fountain of knowledge for our recommended HR database.
