Managing Teams in Changing Times – Fully Funded (Greater Mcr) Programme (3 workshops) September

FULLY FUNDED MANAGEMENT TRAINING OPPORTUNITY FOR SMEs IN GREATER MANCHESTER

Apply for a place on our FULLY FUNDED ‘Managing Teams in Changing Times’ management development programme. What the last couple of years has demonstrated is the need for empathetic and considerate management, the ability to support employees through ongoing change and the confidence to have difficult conversations when needed.

Our programme will provide managers and leaders with the management tools and techniques to manage and lead teams through changing times, through management theory and providing practical support that can be implemented when back in the workplace.

This FULLY FUNDED 3 modular programme with in person workshops to be held at:

HR Dept Trafford & Warrington, Denzell House, Dunham Road, Bowdon, Cheshire WA14 4QE  with each module from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  (including pastries and light refreshments) covers:

Module 1 – EFFECTIVE TEAM LEADERSHIP –  Thursday 15th September 2022
Helping you understand the differences between leading and managing and by recognising your own management style, we will explore management and leadership skills and techniques, that will help you lead high performing teams. We will also explore how you can motivate your team effectively and the key stages of team development.

Module 2 – BUILDING TRUST AND MANAGING CONFLICT AT WORK – Tuesday 20th September 2022

How can you and do you seek to create an environment of trust within your team?

None of us like to admit there are simmering’s of conflict where we work, but at some point, if we haven’t already, we will all be faced with a conflict situation. Knowing what it is and how to deal with it is key, to ensuring it doesn’t escalate.

We will take you on a practical tour of managing conflict and how to go about preparing for having a difficult conversation, something that so often people avoid. If you have any of your team working at home or remotely, this can make the problem easier to avoid but it does not address the issue. At the end of this module, you’ll gain tools and techniques but more importantly the confidence to have that difficult conversation.

Module 3 – SUPPORTING YOUR TEAM THROUGH CHANGING TIMES – Thursday 22nd September 2022

This interactive workshop is designed to give you the skills to improve how you communicate and manage others through changing times. The Coronavirus pandemic and advancing implementation of new technologies and new ways of working will mean that change is constant. Having an awareness of the importance of your own emotional intelligence, including empathy, together with employees’ natural reaction to different stages of change, will help you to better support your team.

Through a mix of proven practical exercises, small group discussions and individual learning, each of the three in person workshops will provide you with guidance, practical tips and techniques that will enable you to gain the confidence to be a more effective and confident leader and manger back in the workplace.

What Previous Delegates have said

“Overall, I found the course really beneficial and it will definitely help me in the future”

“I always struggle to say no. The ‘saying no nicely’ exercise will come in handy”

“Sonya was amazing, kept the course interesting. Enjoyed the breakout rooms where you could speak one and one with the other people on the course”

“The objectives were completely met, only today I had to have a difficult conversation within work. I used the N.E.W.A/ the emotional push approach that I learnt and we came to an agreeable solution. Before attending the course I probably would have just let this certain situation pass by, but it would have been on my mind all day”

” I had the opportunity to take part in HR Dept’s Managing People in Changing Times programme, which was incredibly helpful. Sonya is a fantastic teacher and I highly recommend the course if you’re looking to improve your skills in being an effective team leader, building trust and managing conflict, and supporting your team through change”
