Growing SME businesses may often have finance and marketing strategies and plans in place, but may not have thought about how a ‘joined up’ People Strategy can support their business, especially where people can be both their most important asset and biggest cost.
To understand the benefit of strategic HR and how to develop a People Strategy to deliver business success – this programme is comprised of 3 half day morning modules:
28th November 2019, Module 1 – Future World of Work and Business Strategy
Looking at the medium to long term considerations for employers to consider including impact of AI, government interventions and policy and multi-generational expectations in the workplace. Understanding how a People Strategy is part of a wider Business Strategy, focused on delivering purpose, vision and mission.
4th December 2019, Module 2 – Developing a People Strategy
Importance of employee experience and engagement, values, competencies and how to develop a strategy considering e.g. recruitment, retention, recognition, reward, skill acquisition, development, succession management, performance management, health and wellbeing, corporate social responsibility, metrics etc.
12th December 2019, Module 3 – Action Planning
Review and development of strategic people initiatives, aligned to deliver the Business Strategy. Development of a People Strategy, shared learnings from other delegates and an outcome
focused action plan that can be put into place for your business.
This Programme is ideal for Business Owners, stand-alone HR Professionals in SMEs or those who have a responsibility for HR.
This fully funded programme is through Business Growth Hub and funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) subject to eligibility criteria (excluded businesses include public funded, education, charities, wealth management). Approval will be required from Business Growth Hub and an initial and follow up meeting with a Business Growth Advisor prior to commencing the Programme.
