The challenge:
Selway Joyce faced a challenge in which the team did not value the current investment in their employee benefits package, which affected engagement and potential retention.
The Solution:
- We undertook an employee engagement survey across all areas of the employee experience, but with a 'deep dive' on exploring various options of employee benefits and their intrinsic value to the team.
- Analysis and presentation of the data, leading to a project to conduct a cost-benefit analysis of additional benefits.
- We brokered additional benefits, including the introduction of a separate fund for professional development, life assurance, death in service benefit, increased pension contributions and milestone recognition of key life events.
- We also developed an approach to communicating benefits, providing regular benefit reminders to the team to keep them ‘front of mind’.
