From the beginning of April 2012, I have realised my latest goal by becoming the Director/Owner of The HR Dept (Herefordshire). As a CIPD HR professional with over 25 years’ experience providing practical and pragmatic HR support to SME’s in Herefordshire. The HR Dept Herefordshire area prides itself on giving local and personal advice tailored to each client to help them prevent people problems.

I spent 20+ years in South Africa, working for 10 years at South African Breweries in various Human Resources and Industrial Relations roles.
Moving on from SAB, I joined colleagues in a well-established Consultancy business, whilst continuing my relationship with SAB on a retainer basis.
Relocated back to the UK, joining Scottish & Newcastle at their newly acquired site of H P Bulmers in Hereford. Initially as the HR Manager for the single site, before taking on 3 additional sites from their Distribution sector.
Under a TUPE transfer, moved to Kuehne & Nagel Drinks Logistics (KNDL), which was a joint venture between S&N and Kuehne & Nagel, fulfilling the role of Regional HR Manager, looking after 13 depots across the West Midlands, with a staff of 5 HR Consultants.
Staying with S&N/Heineken, took up an opportunity to become Head of Human Resources at a further joint venture, Universal Beverages Limited. Initially starting up the HR Department, to maintaining it throughout my tenure.
