HR Consultant in Chelsea
Chelsea is an affluent area of West London associated with its own football club, millionaires’ houses, fantastic entertainment, retail and leisure, and a luxury lifestyle.
History
The borough of Chelsea precedes the Domesday Book and its name originates from the Old English for landing place. The borough is filled with important landmarks such as King’s Road, Chelsea Old Town Hall, and the Chelsea Bun House, home of the famous Chelsea Bun. The Chelsea porcelain factory was also famous for making England’s first porcelain and later on for being home to a range of artists. In recent history, it was renowned for being the epicentre of the so-called Swinging Sixties and it’s more recently become a hotspot for celebrities and the wealthy to see and be seen.
Location and Travel
Part of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Chelsea is very easy to travel around and centrally located in London. Key roads include Fulham Road, and it’s on the West London tube lines. There are also the famous Boris bikes available to use on a flexible basis to get around the city.
