Emergency First Aid at Work

This one day course will provide theoretical and practical training in basic life saving first aid.  At the end of the course, delegates will be trained to act as a qualified Emergency First Aider in their workplace.

Who is it for?

Every employer, even those with fewer than 5 employees, must carry out an assessment of the risk in their workplace and must decide what level of first aid provision they must provide.  Issues to consider could include the type of work activities taking place, what possible injuries might occur, the size and layout of the workplace and the proximity to emergency services.

Consideration must also be given to making sure there is a sufficient number of trained personnel to cover absences such as sickness and annual leave.

The QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, to provide first aid in a range of emergency first aid situations. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide basic first aid in voluntary and community activities.

Accreditation

All delegates are assessed and on passing, receive a QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) certificate which is valid for 3 years.
