IR35 Changes, Contractors and Employment StatusDETAILS
The HR Dept presents a Free seminar on:
IR35 Changes, Contractors and Employment Status
To employ or not to employ? Now that is a question!
With the IR35 reform on the horizon, we want to ensure that businesses are prepared for the changes ahead. In our interactive seminar we will provide guidance on how to manage the risks of self- employed contractors.
Self-employed contractor relationships are increasingly being challenged by both the HMRC and the tribunals. The upcoming changes to IR35 legislation, already imposed on the public sector, will result in many private sector organisations having to determine the employment status of any contractors using a personal service company.
Employment Law Update
Helen Colechin will provide a round up of interesting recent cases and discuss key learning points from these, including The Harpur Trust v Brazel. Additionally Helen will highlight some areas of employment law that might affect us post Brexit in the medium term to help plan for the future.
Health & Safety Update
All employers must have a Health and Safety policy and have completed risk assessments of their business. Fintan O’Toole will explain the key duties and offer guidance on how to ensure your business is compliant and your employees safe.
